About These Walks
Easy Trails Built for You
We're focused on gentle hiking near Dublin. Not just any walk—trails chosen specifically for retirees who want real exercise without unnecessary strain. Most routes take 1.5 to 2.5 hours at a relaxed pace. Benches are positioned so you're never more than a short walk from a place to sit.
The Wicklow Way runs right through some beautiful terrain, and we've identified the flattest, most scenic sections. You'll get proper views—valleys, forests, mountain glimpses—without the steep climbs that aren't worth the effort.

What Walkers Say
Real Feedback from Real People
"Wasn't sure I could manage a proper hike anymore honestly. But the Glenveagh route was brilliant—two hours, flat as you like, and there's benches so I didn't feel rushed. Actually enjoying getting outside again."
How long are the walks?
Most routes take 1.5 to 2.5 hours at a relaxed pace with rest stops included. We don't rush. If you need to slow down or take extra breaks, that's perfectly fine.
What's the terrain like?
Mostly forest paths and established trails. We avoid steep climbs and rough ground. Some sections are gravel, others are packed earth. All well-maintained and easy to walk on.
Are there places to rest?
Yes. Benches are positioned along every route. You're never more than 15-20 minutes from a proper place to sit down. Perfect if you need a break without feeling like you're holding others up.
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothes (layers work best), water, and a small snack. We've got a full packing guide if you need one. Weather in Wicklow changes quickly, so waterproof jacket is smart.
Is parking available?
Yes. All our starting points have free parking nearby. We provide directions and parking details with each route guide. Easy access, no hunting around for spots.
